Here are some brief thoughts on the newest flicks to hit a nickelodeon near you:

The remake of  The Crazies may have skimped on the dark in favor of some cliched thematic action, but I still got some near shit-my-pants enjoyment out of it. Plus, that guy who’s either the dude from Deadwood or Fergie’s husband is pretty hot.

Shutter Island is pretty baller if you like movies where you can guess the twist while watching the trailer. As someone who is skraight up stoopid when it comes to predicting the end of flicks, I felt mad smart when watching this one.

Re: Crazy Heart. Naked Jeff Bridges romancing Maggie Gyllenhaal? This flick had me standing up while sitting down.

Apparently Benicio Del Toro was too good of an actor to actually do a good job in The Wolf Man. Watch to be wowed by his Mexican/American/British/That Generic Transatlantic Thing That Colin Farrell Always Does accent.
